Privacy Policy
Effective June 23, 2026
Overview
sound2score helps musicians practice by ear using real-time audio-to-MIDI transcription. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Audio you play
Audio captured from your microphone is processed in your browser to transcribe the notes you play. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio to our servers. Microphone access is requested only when an exercise needs it, and your browser lets you revoke it at any time.
Accounts
You can use most of the app without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we store the name and email address Google shares with us so we can recognize you across devices and sessions. We use this only to operate the app and never sell it.
What we store
Your preferences (such as theme and exercise settings) are saved in a cookie on your device so the app remembers them between visits. When you complete an exercise, we record your activity in that exercise (such as which notes you attempted and your results) and associate it with your account. We use this to improve the exercises. We do not sell it or use it to identify you to anyone else.
Deleting your data
To delete your account and the exercise activity associated with it, email us at privacy@sound2score.com and we'll remove it.
Cookies
We use cookies only to remember your preferences and keep the app working. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
sound2score is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
